COVID-19 Precautions

In order to protect all participants and volunteers, we ask everyone who will be on-site for this event (participants, volunteers, spectators, etc.) to follow these guidelines:

o   If you have been in contact with a COVID-19 positive person within fourteen days prior to the day of the race, even if you are asymptomatic, please do not attend the event unless you’ve been fully vaccinated. (Fully vaccinated means it has been two weeks since you completed your COVID vaccination doses.)

Regardless of vaccination status:

o   If you have had one or more of the following symptoms within the past 72 hours (regardless of test results), please do not attend the event:

·       Fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

o   On the morning of the race, please check your temperature and ensure it is normal. Anyone with temperatures greater than 100 should not attend the event.

o   If you have recently been diagnosed with COVID-19, please follow the CDC guidelines as to when your self-isolation timeline. We also encourage you to talk to your primary care provider to ensure that it is safe for you to exercise following your recovery from COVID-19 before you participate in the run.

Race Day Safety:

o    Face coverings or masks are highly encouraged. BGC’s top priority is safety of our employee-partners and customers. In commitment to safety, our team will uphold strict COVID-19 protocols in our stores and while serving in the community.

o   Please maintain appropriate social distancing from those outside of your party throughout the racing event.

o   Ensure proper hand hygiene. Hand sanitizer will be accessible in various locations.

o   We discourage physical contact with those outside of your immediate family as a precaution. This includes hugs, high fives, elbow bumps, etc.

o   Please understand the risks of participation and being present for this large event as outlined by the CDC.
